Southern First makes banking personal and accessible.

Southern First focuses on relationship-first banking for individuals and businesses. Their personal service and motto of banking “on a first-name basis” have helped them grow into a regional powerhouse and one of the largest banks in the southeastern United States.

The Banker Dashboard is taking this same commitment to service that Southern First is known for and extending it to include a simple, and intuitive solution for commercial banking.

Simplifying the complex workflows in banking

We partnered with Southern First to design a new banker dashboard for their internal team and commercial customers. We started by immersing ourselves in their workflows, talking with bankers, and learning the complex workflows that exist in the banking industry.

One of the key challenges we faced was synthesizing the complex workflows into a unified and simplified process. Weeks were spent mapping out user flows and creating wireframes before moving to high-fidelity designs in Figma, carefully crafting a user experience that met the needs of both Southern First's bankers and their customers.

We helped eliminate the back and forth with clients and mitigated the amount of manual entry work required by leveraging existing data. These efforts led to days being cut off the average lead time from prospect to customer and saved hours of work for bankers, letting Southern First bankers do more of what they do best: building better relationships with their customers.
